Jewellery
The old shop is closed. What remains is how a stone sits in a ring, a necklace or a bracelet.
Rings
A ring touches skin all day. A hard stone survives it; a pearl or selenite does not.
Necklaces
A necklace lies on the chest and drinks perfume. Organics do not belong there every day.
Pendants
A pendant is a small library on a cord. Say what is inside, not what it “does”.
Earrings
An earring sits near the face. Sharp edges and crumbly stones are poor neighbours there.
Bracelets
A bracelet rubs the table. Quartz survives it; malachite and mother-of-pearl last a shorter while.
Minerals
An uncut piece is a library book without a cover. Keep it where it cannot fall.
Gold and silver
Gold and platinum are cleaned gently. Silver darkens in the air — chemistry, not an omen.
